It’s a clean, no-fuss recipe that packs a flavorful punch without the additives or artificial junk. Whether you’re planning a backyard get-together or just want to jazz up your weeknight dinner, these skewers bring the heat—in all the right ways.

Grab your skewers, heat up that grill, and let’s get cooking.

Prep Time: 15 minutes (plus 2-4 hours to marinate)
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
Servings: 6

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs. Sawyer Creek grass-fed beef (chuck roast or sirloin), cut into 1 to 1.5-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos (or low-sodium tamari for gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon raw local honey (like B’s Raw Honey)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a mild kick)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

ShapeOptional Add-ons (for more color and crunch)

  • Red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • Green onion stalks, cut into 2-inch segments
  • Pineapple chunks (for a sweeter twist)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, honey, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Marinate the Beef: Place beef cubes in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the beef, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (up to 4 for deeper flavor). Flip the bag or stir halfway through for even coating.
  • Prep the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated beef onto skewers, alternating with optional veggies or pineapple if using.
  • Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning every few minutes until nicely browned and cooked through. Internal temp should reach at least 145°F for medium.
  • Serve: Let skewers rest 3–5 minutes before serving. Garnish with optional sesame seeds or sliced green onion.
